Nick Perrett
Landscape Architect
Nick is a chartered Landscape Architect who trained initially in Horticulture with The Royal Horticultural Society, before gaining valuable practical experience in the landscape construction industry. After graduating in 1995 with a BA(Hons) Landscape Design, and in 1997 with a DipLA in Landscape Architecture, both at Manchester Metropolitan University Nick has worked in private practice and the public sector working on a broad spectrum of land use and development projects in the UK and Australia. Projects include hotels, play spaces, holiday and leisure sites, urban parks and gardens, as well as cultural centres. Before moving back to Devon in 2006 to establish redbay design Nick was employed by the Groundwork Trust in Kent working up from project Landscape Architect to Team Principal during six years with the organisation. ‘Much of my working career has been managing regeneration projects, taking jobs from inception to completion, leading multi-disciplinary teams and coordinating all the many different project elements. This has given me an excellent understanding of the processes necessary for the realisation of major construction and environmental projects’. As managing director Nick oversees every project undertaken by the company to ensure the highest levels of service and quality of work.
