Pegasus Life secured planning permission through public inquiry for a Sarah Wigglesworth Architects scheme for a C2 assisted living community at The Knowle, Sidmouth, Devon. The Design Review Panel (www.designreviewpanel.co.uk) were instructed by East Devon District Council (EDDC) to provide multidisciplinary, expert, independent and impartial guidance and feedback to the local authority, applicant and design team during the pre-application design stage.

Arthur Tatchell

Following his success in developing UK's first Passivhaus School and Europe's first Zero-Carbon School, Arthur Tatchell has re-established his architectural consultancy to focus on Passivhaus Design and Sustainability in all sectors....Arthur is also developing additional consultancy services to support sustainable development and the drive to energy efficiency with airtightness consultancy and testing services to Building Regulations and Passivhaus Standards through specialist software modelling in PHPP (Passivhaus Planning Package) and THERM. Arthur is continuing his research and investigation into off-site pre-fabricated sustainable solutions for construction projects based on his success in Passivhaus / Zero-Carbon design, he is also developing a "Fabric-First" CO2 reduction and energy efficiency programme which can be delivered to clients on a cost-neutral basis. Arthur is pleased to be a panel member of The Design Review Panel, which comprises a group of independent, multi-disciplinary construction professionals working in the field of the built environment. The Panel provides impartial expert advice to applicants and local authorities on design issues in relation to important new development schemes and proposals for important public spaces, including significant minor applications, major planning applications and pre-app planning advice enquiries. Arthur has been a panel member since April 2016.
